THE YOUTH RENAISSANCE
Creative Access Self Success(C.A.S.S.)
Creative Access, Self-Success program is dedicated to helping “at-risk” youth access their dormant creativity by using the arts to equip them with skills to positively impact their communities.
The Creative Access, Self-Success (CASS) is a program that is committed to helping the “at-risk” youth from the South Side of Pittsburgh, ranging from ages 12-18 years old by accessing their creativity. The Program is designed to provide a healthy, safe, and creative outlet for youth to explore their talents in the areas of writing, music, performance, video, film, and the music business. CASS participants learn strategies on how to access their creativity by using self-esteem building activities, managing their time productively, teamwork and cultivating their creative skills.
THE YOUTH RENAISSANCE
Youth Renaissance Project
The Youth Renaissance Project is designed to promote mastery of creative skills by infusing culture, mentorship and career development to develop professionalism in disadvantaged youth.
The Youth Renaissance Project (YRP) recruits the most gifted and talented young people from the CASS program and is an alternative to the lack of arts and cultural programs in many school districts. YRP is designed to provide a healthy, safe and creative outlet for youth to explore career opportunities through their improved skill set and talent. When youth participate in YRP, they learn strategies to access their creativity productively, work collaboratively with others on projects to produce a final product, exploring a career roadmap and developing their presentation skills.
